What We Do

At Claxton Composites, we pride ourselves in our knowledge of composite manufacture. We design, build and repair all kinds of mouldings and components using the latest GRP composites, Prepreg & Sprint laminating materials, resin infusion, vacuum bagging and hand lay-up techniques.

Where We Are

We are located at Padstow Boatyard on South Quay, Padstow on the North coast of Cornwall. With a large work shed facility, we can offer a broad range of services in a convenient location to our UK and overseas customers.

History

Claxton Composites was started by Will Claxton, an expert in composite boat construction who has built boats all over the world, from super yachts to large fishing vessels. He has developed the business and broadened the scope of services we offer so we can meet the needs of the UK composite and moulding industry as well as the marine, architectural and construction industries.

Our Composite Services

As well as being composite build experts, we also provide a range of design, mould fabrication and project services. From vacuum bagging and laminating yacht decks and hulls to constructing fibre glass vehicle components. We can cover all your composite construction needs. We also do custom projects to suit your particular industry and project requirements.

Materials Experts

We are fully-equipped to deal with multiple materials, whether that's using Prepreg, Sprint, resin infusion, vacuumed hand lay or GRP laminating materials.

Composites Facility

Our large-scale (900m²) composites facility at Padstow Boatyard can cater for all your project builds, with crane facilities for heavier items and a large vacuum table area.

Moulding Experience

With years of experience in GRP contract builds for the marine and yachting industry, we are ideally placed to meet the growing demands of your composite projects using custom moulds in both GRP and carbon fibre.
